Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad Friday said the BJP wanted to know the location of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Talking to reporters in Patna, Prasad said: “Rahul Gandhiji is the national vice-president and an important leader of the Congress. We want to know his location. We want to know which country he has gone to and for what purpose. Congress must come clear on this.” [related-post] The BJP leader also advised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to ask Congress president Sonia Gandhi why an inter-ministerial group under the UPA government had not deemed Bihar a fit case to get special category status. Prasad said though Bihar would not gain anything from the special status, the Bihar CM should ask Sonia Gandhi and then UPA ally Lalu Prasad on the special status before directing its ire at the NDA government that has announced “a mega package of Rs 1.25 lakh crore incorporating all benefits and multifold sum a special category status can get a state”. Reiterating the party’s position on reservation after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, Prasad said: “There is no question of dithering from constitutional norms on reservation. There is provision for reservation for OBC and SC/ST and it would continue as usual.” Asked if there should be an economic criterion for reservation, the minister said: “There will be no change.”
