Car-jacked girl killed for spurning youth’s advances

The girl was snatched by 3 car-borne youths who killed her in a most brutal manner.

Three persons have been arrested for the murder of an 18-year-old girl who was abducted from near her home in Southwest Delhi last week.

The girl’s body has been recovered from the fields in Haryana.

Police said Ravi Kumar (21),his brother Rahul (25) and Vinod alias Chhotu (21) had abducted the girl from Chhawla area,when she was on her way home from work on February 9.

“Her friends told police that the abductors were in a red Indica. They pulled the girl inside the car and sped away. They were arrested after an emergency response vehicle noticed a suspicious red Indica near Dwarka Metro station,” said R K Pandey,Additional DCP (Southwest).

Rahul was the first to be arrested. “Ravi was interested in the girl,but she turned down his advances. Feeling insulted,Ravi decided to take revenge,” Pandey said.

Police said the three were drunk on the day they abducted the girl.

“They took the girl to Rewari in Haryana,killed her and dumped the body in a mustard field,” Pandey said.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

The girl had reportedly been hit with a heavy object and sustained injuries on her face.

The locals attempted to set the house of the accused on fire,but the situation is under control,police said.
