The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday morning searched the residence of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, who was arrested on May 31 for allegedly trying to bribe a nominated MLA, Elvis Stephenson. Officials seized documents and several diaries from Revanth’s Jubilee Hills house. The houses of Bishop Harry Sebastian and Revanth’s aide, Udaysimha Reddy, were also searched. [related-post] Revanth had been remanded to ACB custody for four days, till Tuesday. He had earlier been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, meanwhile, left for Delhi on Tuesday to meet Central ministers and discuss financial aid for the state. Naidu is also likely to raise the issue of alleged phone-tapping of TDP ministers and MLAs by the Telangana government. The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet also met on Tuesday and resolved to ask Centre to deliver on promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, and to explore legal options to pursue the alleged phone-tapping by Telangana government.
