“Ministers would be available at the party headquarters at least for one day every month. That means, there will be one minister at the party headquarters everyday,” Javadekar told reporters. He said this mechanism would ensure the party workers will get an opportunity to put forward their suggestions and concerns to the ministers in the government.

Union ministers have also been directed not to ignore party organisations while visiting different parts of the country. Javadekar said, a minister on an official visit will have to coordinate and try to meet local party workers.

The meeting was attended by party president Rajnath Singh, party general secretaries Amit Shah, J P Nadda, Ramlal and others.

With an eye on Assembly elections later this year, the party leaders from poll-bound states, such Haryana unit chief Ram Vilas Sharma, were also invited at the dinner meeting. Ministers were told to be ready for poll-related work in such states.
