Referring to the tableau displaying Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj killing Afzal Khan, which had reportedly enraged a section of the people in Sangli district,Gadkari said “Muslims have no complaint against the depiction.” The city had been tense since Thursday when some members of minority community allegedly damaged a Ganesh pendal depicting the historical scene, according to police.

The authorities had also imposed curfew in the troubled district on Saturday night.
