‘Bhardwaj should have refrained from such remarks’

Reacting to Congress leader and former Union minister H R Bhardwaj’s comments against party leaders, including party president Sonia Gandhi, the Congress on Friday said the senior leader should have “refrained from making such comments”.

“Mr H R Bhardwaj was a senior leader and the Congress has always given him important positions. He has been Rajya Sabha MP five times, has also been law minister and a state governor. We do not understand why he has made such comments at this stage of his life,” Congress spokes-person Rita Bahuguna Joshi said.

“Such a senior leader, who has attained seniority within the party, should have refrained from making such comments,” he added.
