An exhibition of pictorial health warnings in Delhi

It will showcase the international best practices in terms of effective health warnings.

Hriday and Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in partnership with Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids,are organizing “Pictures Save Lives- Choose and Save Millions,” an exhibition of pictures that have graphically and unambiguously,informed millions of people across the world,about the dangers of tobacco use.

The exhibition,which begins on the occasion of Children’s Day (November 14,2010),intends to appraise the common masses and the policy makers alike about the international standards in tobacco products packaging and labeling,while sensitizing them towards the need for implementing stronger and effective pictorial health warnings in India.

It will showcase the international best practices in terms of effective health warnings that are displayed on tobacco products in different countries. Through signature campaigns,opinion polls,warnings walls and media advocacy and IEC materials.

The Event will attract top officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Health Organization.
