5 school kids dead after tree falls on bus

Five school students died and seven others were injured when a tree fell on the school bus in which they were returning home on Friday evening.

Police said the incident was reported from kothamangalam in Ernakulam district. The students belonged to Veda Vikas school, Kothamangalam. The tree fell on the middle portion of the school bus were the victims were sitting.
Home minister Ramesh Chennithala said the government would look into the suggestion to cut down all trees which are posing threat to motorists along highways.
