16-yr-old abducted,raped,dumped outside NCW office

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from Ghaziabad and gangraped over two weeks,before she was left outside the National Commission for Women office in Delhi on July 19.

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from Ghaziabad and gangraped over two weeks,before she was left outside the National Commission for Women office in Delhi on July 19.

According to police,the girl was kidnapped on July 6 from Hapur,Ghaziabad. “The family said the girl was kidnapped by three men when she had gone to visit a temple. After searching for a week,the family informed the police on July 13. The accused dropped the girl outside the NCW office (on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg) on July 19. The officials there informed her father,” a senior police officer said.

Police said two of the accused have been identified as Kapil Agarwal (20) and Sachin (21).

The victim told the police that she was taken to Haridwar,Delhi and Rudrapur. “In Delhi,she stayed at a house in Chandni Chowk owned by Badal and Satish,who are friends of the accused. She also said she was taken around in a four-wheeler. The medical examination of the girl is in process,” the officer said.

In another incident,an 18-year-old girl from Vijaynagar,Ghaziabad,alleged that she was raped by two men on July 19. Police,however,denied that the girl was raped.

“The girl and her friend were drinking with two of their male friends,when the men started misbehaving with them. One of them got angry and filed a rape case against the two men. Medical examination did not confirm rape,” said J K Shahi,Superintendent of Police (City).
