Uttarakhand Congress MLA Pradeep Batra’s nephew killed in road mishap, friend critical

Police reached the spot and rushed both of them to a private hospital where Sarthak succumbed to his injures, while Sanyam is still critical.

Sarthak, a nephew of Uttarakhand rebel Congress MLA Pradeep Batra, died in a road accident in Panipat Saturday morning. Sarthak, a 17-year-old, was returning from Delhi in a Mahindra Scorpio with his 19-year-old friend Sanyam, when an unidentified vehicle hit their SUV from behind. As a result, the Scorpio hit the median on NH-01 and overturned. Both Sarthak and Sanyam sustained severe injuries.

Locals informed police about the incident. Police reached the spot and rushed both of them to a private hospital where Sarthak succumbed to his injures. Sanyam is still reported to be critical.
