Congress tried to ‘fix’ innocent people in Samjhauta case: BJP

Congress-led government tried to fix innocents in the Samjhauta Express blasts. It was done to defame Hindu society which stands for universal brotherhood, said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.

The BJP on Wednesday raked up the Samjhauta Express blasts, and accused the Congress of trying to “fix” innocents in the case to “defame Hindu society”, while “ignoring” NIA and Intelligence Bureau reports on Ishrat Jahan.

“Congress did not trust reports of Indian agencies. It ignored an FBI report too… For its selfish purpose, the identity of a terrorist, who was deputed by the LeT to kill Narendra Modi, was not acknowledged even though LeT itself, besides the intelligence agencies, said so,” said BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma.

“On the other hand, the Congress-led government tried to fix innocents in the Samjhauta Express blasts. It was done to defame Hindu society which stands for universal brotherhood,” he said.

“…facts which have come out in the NIA investigation about Ishrat are very surprising,” said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
