BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday attended the second anniversary celebrations of the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan and heaped praises on the Chief Minister for governing by the “sabka saath, sabka vikas” dictum. He also used the platform to outline the achievements of the Modi government at the Centre.
“Today no one would dare behead Indian soldiers along the Indo-Pak border thanks to Narendra Modi government’s zero tolerance towards terrorism and border security,” he said.
“Earlier, farmers would get compensation only if the damage was 50 per cent and more. But the Modi government has brought it down to 33 per cent, which has resulted in 70 per cent farmers getting the benefit of compensation,” he said.
Praising Raje, Shah said: “There have been BJP governments in Rajasthan earlier too. Vasundhara ji has also come to power for the second time here. But this time the difference is that the government at the Centre is also of BJP, which has given a unique opportunity to Vasundhara ji and she has utilised it fully,” Shah said.
“If the government continues to run this way, the Congress will never be able to return to power in the state,” he added.
Chief Minister Raje used the occasion to announce welfare and development initiatives worth nearly Rs 9,000 crore. She unveiled a new scheme for entrepreneurship development and self-employment for unemployed youths, women, people from the SC and ST categories and the differently-abled. The Bhamashah Employment Generation Scheme will enable people from these categories to avail bank loans on low interest rates in order to set up small enterprises of their own.
