TWO IRAQI nationals studying at an institute in Pune were allegedly attacked by a group of men after an argument over their two-wheeler brushing with a bike in Kondhwa area on Saturday evening.

An FIR has been lodged by Baghdad-born Mohammed Isa Ali (27) and his friend Haidar Abdullah (29) in the matter. According to the report, the two were on their way home around 7.30 pm when their bike brushed with the bike of an elderly person, leading to a verbal argument.

Senior Inspector Satish Govekar of Kondhwa police station said, “As per their complaint, the two had an argument with the other biker, who then made some calls and a few people gathered at the spot within minutes who allegedly attacked Ali and Abdullah. We are yet to identify the attackers. An offence for creating ruckus and physical assault has been registered.”

Assistant Inspector PR Shikalgar, investigating the case, said a search operation has been launched for the suspects.
