Gurdaspur SP Salwinder Singh
As part of its probe into the Pathankot terror attack, officials said the NIA could soon confront Gurdaspur SP Salwinder Singh, his cook Madan Gopal and Somraj — the caretaker of a shrine Singh claimed to have visited before being kidnapped by terrorists — with each other to ascertain the veracity of their statements.
While the NIA questioned Gopal and Somraj on Thursday, it also questioned Singh for the fourth consecutive day.
According to a Home Ministry spokesperson, the NIA has found similarities between the attack at the Pathankot airbase and the attack in Dinanagar in July last year.

Sources said the route taken by the terrorists from the international border with Pakistan in Punjab was the same in the two attacks.
On July 27 last year, three heavily-armed terrorists dressed in army fatigues, believed to have infiltrated from Pakistan, opened fire on a moving bus and later stormed the Dinanagar police station. The terrorists killed eight people, including a Superintendent of Police, before they were neutralised.
The Dinanagar attack is being probed by the Punjab Police. The state’s deputy CM and Home Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal had refused to hand over the probe to the NIA.
