MeT Dept issues heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand

The MeT department has warned of heavy rain in Uttarakhand on Wednesday.

The department said heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places across the state, especially in Uttarkashi, Tehri, Dehradun, Almora, Nainital, Champavat and Pithoragarh districts, in the next 48 hours.

The government has issued an advisory to all the District Magistrates, asking them to be vigilant and to take all precautionary measures for the people’s safety.

The MeT department has also forecast moderate rains with thunderstorms at many places across the state in the next 48 hours.
