At least 14 people were killed and several injured after an under-construction flyover collapsed in North Kolkata near Ganesh Talkies (Girish Park) on Thursday afternoon. Several are still trapped under the debris. The location of the bridge is in a densely populated locality in BarraBazar.

Md Salim (CPI-M): My party demands that a high-level probe be ordered and alleged that the rescue work was not going on properly. We also demand that the National Disaster Response Force be brought in for the rescue operation.
