A teenager from Hyderabad, inspired by the reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’, performed a fire stunt that led to his unfortunate death on Sunday afternoon.

Mohammad Jalaluddin, a 19-year-old intermediate student, wanted to participate in the show. On April 7, he went to a hillock behind the historic Falaknuma Palace with his friends to make a video of him performing the stunts.

He first tried the fire-eating stunt and later lit himself on fire after pouring kerosene all over his shirt. But, he was unable to control the fire, which eventually burnt him severely.

Jalaluddin was rushed to Osmania Hospital where he was admitted with 63 per cent burns, according to ACP Abdul Bari. Even in this condition, Mohammad wanted the video of the act to be sent to the show, which is aired by Colors TV.

But by Sunday, his condition deteriorated and he succumbed to injuries by the afternoon.

Abdul Bari later told The News Minute, “I request all the youngsters to be more careful and not to perform such things because losing a young child is not an easy thing for parents. Better to do useful things instead of doing things which may take someone’s life.”
