Fire at BSF headquarters in New Delhi, no injuries reported

"Seven fire tenders were pressed into service after a call was received," said an official of the Delhi Fire Service.

A fire broke out at the Border Security Force (BSF) office in New Delhi on Tuesday afternoon but no one was injured in the incident, authorities said.

The incident was reported around 12.17 p.m. from the BSF headquarters on the 1st floor of the fourth Block of the Central Government Offices (CGO) Complex in central Delhi.

“Seven fire tenders were pressed into service after a call was received,” said an official of the Delhi Fire Service.

“They are still trying to put out the fire,” the official said, adding there is no report of any casualty so far.

A BSF official said: “No one was injured in the incident after the fire broke out in an air conditioner on the first floor of the building.”

The official said the building doesn’t house the office of the Director General of the BSF.
