THE DELHI government has decided to call an emergency assembly session on Tuesday to discuss the effects of demonetisation in the country. Reiterating that the situation has become “explosive”, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said it would lead to a law and order situation if the decision is not rolled back within 50 hours. He also said the government has decided to deploy 5,000 civil defence volunteers to serve refreshments and water to those standing in queues outside banks and ATMs. The CM added that he would meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Tuesday to discuss the move.
