Pampore ambush: Leaders pay tribute to jawans martyred in militant attack

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti condemned the "dastardly militant attack" while Home Minister Rajnath Singh was "deeply anguished".

Tributes poured in Saturday after eight CRPF jawans were martyred following an ambush by militants in Pampore, J&K. State and national leaders paid respects to those killed in the attack. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti condemned the “dastardly militant attack” while Home Minister Rajnath Singh was “deeply anguished”.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar “prayed” for the recovery of those injured in the attack. And former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah wrote: “May their souls rest in peace”.
