With Kashmir facing violent protests following killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani, RSS said on Friday that the Centre should make efforts to completely root out militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and offered support to the Union government at every step taken in this regard.

“We support the Centre’s stand against terrorism in Jammu Kashmir. Efforts should be made to completely root out militancy in the state. Separatist sentiments in Kashmir are not related to human rights.

Asked about the alleged exodus of Hindus from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh and that of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir during the peak of militancy in the state, he said: “It was RSS that had raised the issue of exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley. The Sangh is against any such mass departure of Hindus from any part of the country.”

On who should be BJP’s chief ministerial candidate in Uttar Pradesh polls due next year, Hosabale said RSS has not role to play in the elections.
