Cash-for-vote: ACB to probe ‘Naidu voice sample’ again

Hearing a petition for reinvestigation, filed by YSR Congress Party legislator A Rama Krishna Reddy after he procured the forensic report from the lab, the court asked ACB to report back on September 29.

THE ANTI-CORRUPTION Bureau (ACB) court in Hyderabad has directed Telangana ACB to investigate and submit a report on a private forensic laboratory’s report on the cash-for-vote case.

According to the laboratory, the voice samples in the case, in which Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had allegedly called Telangana’s nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson and allegedly urged him to support the TDP candidate for Legislative Council, were genuine and matches the CM’s voice.
