The bill is expected to be tabled in the ongoing Budget session of the Gujarat Assembly. (File)Minister of Primary, Secondary & Adult Education, Kuber Dindor, Friday accused Dediapada MLA and state AAP working president Chaitar Vasava of “playing the politics of separatists” by demanding a separate state — Bhil Pradesh — for the tribals without explaining how the new state would generate revenue. “If it were so easy to run a state without revenue, we (BJP leaders) can get you a separate state immediately but did anyone explain how would this Bhil Pradesh, which Chaitar is misleading tribals about, run without revenue? Prime Minister Narendra Modi collects taxes from industrialists and the working class, and ensures benefit schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and education system,” Dindor said.
He added, “We (tribals) cannot even run our homes, how will we run a state? How much tax do we (tribals) pay? Are tribals industrialists? In this country of 140 crore people, eight crore people pay tax and the country’s administration runs on that revenue…” Dindor was speaking at an event in Narmada and urged the tribals to “stay away” from the promises made by Chaitar as he was a “chhetar” (cheater).
