Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Team India on winning the Champions Trophy 2025 by four wickets against New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday. The Men in Blue clinched the title for a record third time. Minutes after India ended a 12-year wait to clinch a record-extending third Champions Trophy title, beating New Zealand in the CT 2025 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, PM Modi congratulated the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma, saying that the team had made a ‘splendid display’ during the tournament. The win comes only eight months after Rohit led the Men in Blue to their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados, continuing a superb run in ICC white-ball events. Starting with the 2023 ODI World Cup, India have now played 23 matches in three successive ICC limited-overs events, bearing a solitary loss in the CWC final againt Australia.
