14 teachers training colleges de-affiliated in J-K

10 institutes in Kathua and two each in Jammu and Samba districts were de-affiliated.

Jammu and Kashmir government has cancelled affiliation of 14 elementary teachers training institutes for their alleged poor performance.

After inspection of the ETT institutes and colleges in Jammu,Kathua and Samba districts,poor maintenance and performance of some of the colleges came to light,leading to their de-affiliation with immediate effect.

A notification in this regard was issued by the Director Academics,Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education,Ghulam Hassan Malik on Tuesday.

As per the notification,10 institutes in Kathua and two each in Jammu and Samba districts were de-affiliated.They have been asked to upgrade their facilities and performance if they are desirous of seeking fresh affiliations with Board of School Education (BOSE),Malik said.
