TMC’s Parliamentary Party Leader in the Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien on Wednesday submitted a privilege notice against Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his remarks on B R Ambedkar in the House Tuesday.

Derek O’Brien filed the notice under Rule 187 of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States.

The notice also quoted the statement of the Union home minister made in the Rajya Sabha Tuesday during a debate on the Constitution.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Wednesday witnessed protests from the Congress and some other Opposition parties over Shah’s remark.
