A state-wide vehicle racket has been busted and five persons were arrested.

A state-wide vehicle racket has been busted and five persons were arrested after its members were found to be allegedly selling and mortgaging cars they had taken on rent,police said on Tuesday.

The gang allegedly made fake RC books and sold them in various parts of the state,police said.

The accused Sudhir Kumar (36),Sajikumar (36),Shibu (30),Shajahan (41) and Babu (54),were arrested last week during a routine vehicle check,police said.

They added a probe was on to trace the remaining members of the gang.
