Giving a clean chit to Omar Abdullah,Home Minister P Chidambaram on Tuesday said the name of the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister did not figure in the chargesheet filed by the CBI in the infamous sex scandal.
Chidambaram said there is just one case,which rocked Jammu and Kashmir in 2006,in which an FIR was registered on March 14,2006.
“CBI investigated the case and filed the chargesheet against 17 accused. The case is now before the District and Session court,Chandigarh.
“The CBI has concluded the investigation. Mr Omar Abdullah’s name does not figure in the list of the accused,” Chidambaram told reporters when asked to comment on the PDP’s allegation against Omar.
