Employees of Delhi jeweller robbed of 4 kg gold,Rs 20 lakh

A special team has been formed to nab the culprits.

Four employees of a Delhi based jeweller were allegedly robbed of 4 kilograms gold and Rs 20 lakh cash by four armed robbers in the Muradnagar area of the Ghaziabad,police said.

The incident took place Friday night when the employees,who were in a car,were overtaken by the robbers on the National Highway 58.

In their complaint,the employees have claimed that while they were returning from Ghaziabad to Delhi in the car,after finalising a business deal,another car overtook them and four armed occupants fired in air and snatched the valuables from them and fled,IG police Meerut zone Rajiv Krishna said.

They have also claimed that the looted gold was valued around Rs 1.20 crore,police said.
