Crime Branch sleuths on Monday conducted raid at a B. Tech examination centre of Rajasthan Vidya Peeth University and found two candidates who were impersonating on behalf of the genuine candidates and others indulging in mass copying.
The examination centre was set up at Minerva Higher Secondary School,Ramgarh,a police spokesperson here said. Pointing out that all the candidates at the examination centre were state government employees who were appearing in the examination so as to improve their technical qualification through illegal means for getting promotions in their respective departments.
The crime branch seized imcriminating material including admit cards,attendance sheets and answer sheets among various other things. During the raid,they also seized answer sheets of question papers conducted on June 19 and 20,which were lying open and were being solved by candidates and staff in connivance with each other. These answer sheets were supposed to be sealed and submitted to the university concerned on daily basis,the spokesperson said,adding that seized record is under scrutiny.
