Chhattisgarh CM showers flower petals on Kanwariyas from helicopter, serves them food
CM Sai greeted the Kanwariyas and devotees with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bol Bam”.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on Monday showered rose petals from helicopters on participants of the Kanwar yatra, and later personnel served food to the pilgrims.
The Kanwariyas had walked around 140 kilometres from Amarkantak, in Madhya Pradesh’s Anuppur district, to the Baba Bhoramdev Temple in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district. They were carrying water from the Narmada river in small containers on their shoulders to bring it to the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
CM Sai greeted the Kanwariyas and devotees with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bol Bam”.
“This marks the first time in the history of Chhattisgarh that a Chief Minister has personally welcomed Shiva devotees by showering flowers from a helicopter,” a government official said.
Sai also performed the customary rituals at Bhoramdeo.
Both the CM and the Deputy CM interacted with devotees at the temple premises and personally served them food.
At Bhoramdeo Temple, as well as at historical and religious sites like Budha Mahadev and Jaleshwar Mahadev in Dongariya, thousands of Kanwariyas perform the “jalabhishek” ritual annually.
