IAF Unmanned Aerial Vehicle malfunctions, forced to land near India-Pak border in Jaisalmer

According to an IAF offcial, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), while on a routine training mission, was force landed safely near Jaisalmer after experiencing an engine malfunction.

Broken Indian Air Force drone found near India-Pak border in Jaisalmer

A broken unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) was reportedly found in a farmland at Jaisalmer’s Ramgarh along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan, the police said on Thursday.

Ramgarh police station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Prem Shankar said the UAV was recovered from a field in Chak No 3, Sattar Minor, located close to the India-Pakistan border, PTI reported.

He further informed that a team from the Ramgarh police station reached the spot soon after receiving the information and began an investigation.

According to an IAF offcial, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), while on a routine training mission, was force landed safely near Jaisalmer after experiencing an engine malfunction.

The RPA was recovered in an empty field, resulting in no damage on ground and minimal damage to the RPA itself, he added.
