Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet Ministers List 2024: Pema Khandu takes oath as CM for third time in row, Deputy CM Chowna Mein in 11-member Cabinet

Elected leaders Ojing Tasing, Kento Jini, Balo Raja, Mama Natung, Dasanglu Pul, Pasang Dorjee Sona, Gabriel Denwang Wangsu, Wangki Lowang, Nyato Dukam among others took oath as Cabinet Ministers in the ceremony held at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall.

BJP leader Pema Khandu was sworn in as Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister for the third consecutive term at Itanagar on Thursday. Chowna Mein secured the Deputy Chief Minister’s position again and a total of 10 other ministers were inducted into the Cabinet.

Elected leaders Ojing Tasing, Kento Jini, Balo Raja, Mama Natung, Dasanglu Pul, Pasang Dorjee Sona, Gabriel Denwang Wangsu, Wangki Lowang, Nyato Dukam and Biyuram Wahge took oath as Cabinet Ministers in the ceremony held at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda were present at the event held at Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall.

The BJP returned to power in Arunachal Pradesh for the third time in a row, winning 46 seats in the 60-member Assembly. Ten BJP MLAs, including Khandu, were elected unopposed before voting on April 19. The party also won both the state’s Lok Sabha seats. The state of Arunachal Pradesh, comprised of 60 Legislative Assembly seats, held polling for all its seats on Friday, April 19, 2024, while their results were announced on Sunday, June 2. The incumbent state government of BJP retained their government and bettered their number as they won 46 seats in the 2024 elections, which is 5 more than their numbers in 2019. As the performance of the other parties in the state is concerned, the National People’s Party secured the second position with 5 seats, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) got 3, the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) got 2, the Indian National Congress got just 1, while three seats were claimed by independent candidates.
