3 human traffickers, Bangladeshi national arrested in North Tripura

In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Tripura Police arrested three human traffickers and one Bangladeshi national in North Tripura district on Thursday evening.
Speaking to reporters, Narugopal Deb, Officer In-Charge, Dharmanagar police station, said the state police and BSF personnel have been conducting regular patrolling, area domination, and raids to nab suspected human traffickers.
“As part of this exercise, we arrested three human traffickers and based on their interrogation at Ragna Border Outpost (BOP), we succeeded in arresting one Bangladeshi national who had illegally entered India. We booked a case under sections of the Passports Act and different sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Surasha Sanhita (BNSS) at Dharmanagar police station,” the officer informed.
The three human traffickers have been identified as Almas Miah, Anjana Das, and Krishna Chandra Deb. Whereas the Bangladeshi national has been identified as A P Deb.
All of them were produced before a local court on Friday.
