This wheelchair-bound dog’s inspiring rescue story will melt your heart

All set to be euthanised, this dog not only got a new lease of life, but also a wheelchair.

Daisy was born with a congenital deformity in her legs and was abandoned at the age of 2 months. A volunteer from A Home 4Ever Rescue, a non-profit corporation, who was looking for a special needs dog to adopt, spotted her in the nick of time, as she was scheduled to be euthanized.

She not only got a new life, she also got a wheelchair. On May 16 this year, she turned 5, and is happier than ever. Before her adoption, she was surviving without a wheelchair and had learnt to walk and run without any support.

After consultation with a vet, it was decided that for her long-term health, it was important to put her on wheels to protect her spine from too much stress.
