Who are the main antagonists in Wednesday season 2

Wednesday finds out that Tyler’s mother, Francoise Galpin, and his uncle, Isaac Night, are behind her fresh troubles in Nevermore after an adventurous summer. Francoise, like Tyler, is a Hyde. Issac, meanwhile, is a slurp. The zombie Pugsley had caught earlier in the season. He regenerated into his real self.

Addams’ family history and connection to Issac

Francoise and Isaac kidnap Pugsley by using Thing. Isaac catches him, reattaches the hand to his body, and buries Wednesday alive. Later, it’s revealed that their ties go back to when Gomez and Isaac were best friends at Nevermore. Isaac, brilliant and hungry for power, built a machine to cure his sister, Francoise, from being a Hyde. But in doing so, he betrayed Gomez, who was powering the machine with his own electrokinesis. Gomez didn’t know that the cure would save Francoise but kill him in the process. Young Morticia stepped in, cut off Isaac’s hand to stop the experiment, and the machine exploded. Isaac died, Gomez lost his power, and the severed hand went on to become the Thing.

The kidnapping and Isaac’s revenge

Francoise and Isaac plan to use Pugsley’s electricity powers to run a machine. The machine would finally free Francoise from being the Hyde, which was slowly killing her. Morticia tells Wednesday and Hester that Isaac had tried the same thing years ago. After Wednesday is buried alive, luckily, Enid and Agnes dig her up. Enid risks everything by transforming into her wolf form, even though she just learned that alpha wolves risk staying stuck in wolf form forever.

Wednesday’s big choice with Tyler

When Wednesday enters Francoise and Isaac’s hideout, she finds Pugsley strapped to the machine. But instead of putting Francoise in, they force Tyler into it. “We can save you from this life. Give you a fresh start,” Francoise tells him. Tyler refuses, he doesn’t want to lose his power as a Hyde. Wednesday, whose love for him turned into hate over time, shockingly gets a chance to kill him with an axe, but chooses to set him free instead. Tyler unleashes his Hyde and fights Francoise. Their fight ends with her falling from Nevermore’s roof to her death.

What is Enid’s fate in Wednesday season 2?

Enid, who once wasn’t even able to wolf out, is in danger. Capri (a new teacher) says if an alpha transforms under a full moon, they are likely to stay that way forever and eventually be hunted by their own pack. Enid’s biggest fear is ending up alone. After saving Wednesday, she runs in the forest and gets lost.  At the end, Wednesday teams up with Fester and Thing to track her down. Agnes’ wildlife camera even caught Enid near the Canadian border.

Miss Capri and Tyler

The ever-suspicious Miss Capri has her own history with Hydes. It turns out her father was one, and she once loved a Hyde who nearly killed her. In the finale, she finds Tyler at his parents’ graves and offers to take him to a secret Hyde community where they don’t need masters to survive. She assures Tyler of having no interest in being his master,  but Tyler is suspicious of her motives.

Hester and Ophelia

We finally get answers about Morticia’s sister, Ophelia. Morticia gives Wednesday Ophelia’s journal, which sparks a psychic vision. It shows a blonde woman (Ophelia) writing “WEDNESDAY MUST DIE” on a wall. The biggest twist was that Ophelia was never missing. She was hiding inside Hester’s house. Wednesday’s grandmother, and it’s unclear if she’s protecting Wednesday or using her as a trap to save Ophelia.

Principal Dort’s downfall

No Nevermore principals are ever clean. Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) is exposed as the true mastermind behind Morning Song, the cult that Bianca grew up in. His ultimate goal was to scam money from Hester and flee. He was forced by Bianca at the gala to confess his true intentions. Ajax turns him to stone, and a chandelier crushes him. That means Nevermore needs yet another new principal in Season 3.

Thing and Issac’s  fate

The biggest family reveal: Thing was originally Isaac’s hand. For years, Thing never knew its origin until Isaac reattached it in the finale. But Thing chooses the Addams family, breaks free, and rips Isaac’s heart out.

Wednesday’s Powers

Throughout Season 2, Wednesday struggles because her psychic powers have stopped working. Weems (her new spirit guide) tells her the powers are somehow tied to her family and her mother. After making peace with her mother, Wednesday briefly regains a vision and sees Ophelia. But she is yet to regain her full ability. “Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family. Toxic and festering just below the surface,” Wednesday says towards the end, “As I venture into the unknown, I am determined to exhume every lie and deception. Or die trying. Sounds like a perfect vacation to me.”
