‘Aryan Khan’s always been number 1,’ says Suhana Khan as The Ba***ds of Bollywood trends on Netflix; Ananya Panday gives shout-out to Aryan, Ahaan Panday

The third picture in the carousel was a screenshot of The Ba***ds of Bollywood trending at #1 in Netflix India. The final picture in the carousel was the viral clip from the end of episode 1, in which Manish Chaudhari’s character breaks the third wall and says, “Say no to drugs,” followed by the end credits starting with “Directed by Aryan Khan.” Aryan reposted Suhana’s carousel on his Instagram Story along with red heart emojis.

That shot in the show was a cheeky reference to the 2021 incident when Aryan was wrongly arrested and jailed in a drugs case by then-Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Officer Sameer Wankhede. A character who looks exactly like Wankhede also finds a place in a sequence at the end of episode 1, where he arrests a young actor even though the latter wasn’t consuming any narcotics at a Bollywood party.

Meanwhile, Ananya took to her Instagram Story and shared a throwback picture of her, Ahaan, and Aryan at a costume party in their childhood. Aryan can be spotted dressed like Superman in the photo. “These little boys have done such BIG things lately (starry eyed emojis). Couldn’t be prouder (moist eye and red heart emojis),” wrote Ananya, tagging both Ahaan and Aryan.

Ahaan reposted the Story and wrote, “Love you sister (demon face emoji).” Aryan also shared it on his Story and wrote, “Thank you for all the help (100 emoji).” Ananya reposted Aryan’s response on her Story and wrote, “Waiting for my role in season 2.” The Ba***ds of Bollywood featured cameos by a number of celebrities, including Aryan, Ananya, and Ahaan’s childhood friend and actor Shanaya Kapoor.

Before Aryan, Ahaan Panday did Ananya and others proud when he headlined Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara earlier this year. It became the highest grossing Indian film with newcomers, with Ahan cast opposite Aneet Padda. Ahan is the son of Deane and Chikki Panday, the brother of actor and Ananya’s father Chunky Panday.
