Actor Vijay Devarakonda‘s film Kingdom has started streaming on OTT after releasing in theaters on 31st July. The Vijay Deverakonda-Bhagyashri Borse film had failed to live up to expectations at the box office, with the audience feeling misled by the hype that was built around the film’s poster, teaser, and trailer. Expecting to witness an extended version of the film with its OTT release, the fans are again feeling letdown. Instead of an extended version, an edited version of the Deverakonda film is now out on Netflix. When Kingdom was released in theaters, the viral romantic song “Hridayam Lopala” was missing, which led many fans to wonder why the makers did so. They were hoping the song will be a part of the OTT release but no such luck.

Reacting to the film’s version on OTT, one of the fans wrote, “We want Uncut Version #Kingdom And Add Deleted Scenes!!” Another user said, “Kingdom Netflix response is all positive. But the team again missed the chance by not giving an extended version. Vijay Devarakonda, we as fans only wish you would choose better projects & producers ahead. Your talent is rare; it deserves justice every single time.”
A few days back, during a press conference in Hyderabad, the film’s producer, Naga Vamsi, had explained why they had to drop the song “Hridayam Lopala” from Kingdom. He said, “I know a lot of people felt bad, especially lovers, probably because they wanted to see Vijay Deverakonda kiss, and they missed it. We tried a lot, but we couldn’t fit it into the intensity of the film overall. A lot of people are suggesting we should fit it in the second half of the film, where they feel it lags. But, the ending 20-minute banger only works because the film slows down there.”
Kingdom stars Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, Venkitesh, and Bhagyashri Borse in important roles. The film has been directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
