Lokesh Kanagaraj is taking his usual break from social media ahead of starting his new film. Before going away from public spotlight, the director has spoken at length to media houses about Leo and his future projects. According to Lokesh, there will be a lot of new characters in LCU who will replace the old ones. “The immediate film in LCU will be Kaithi 2. It will come immediately after Thalaivar 171. After that, between Rolex and Vikram 2, we have to discuss things,” he said.

Lokesh confirmed that Thalaivar 171 will not be part of LCU and will be a standalone film. “I have already finished writing Kaithi 2 structure. Now, I have to write the whole thing. Since it is my home ground, I have to come up with things that people would expect from me.”

When asked about the characters in LCU, the director said, “There will be a lot of new characters. With every other instalment, new characters will come in. For example, Sethu na (Vijay Sethupathi) is not there anymore. So, someone has to come in to take care of the distribution. Like that new characters will come in taking up the mantle of the dead ones.”

With Leo being part of LCU, the star power of the film has become enormous as now the cinematic universe has Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, and Fahadh Faasil playing important roles in the storyline. There’s a lot of excitement regarding how it will pan out. Going by the long line-up of film, it is going to take at least three years to see the ‘End Game’ of LCU.
