Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 Finale Highlights: Archana lifts trophy, takes home Rs 50 lakh

Kamal Haasan bids goodbye. "Until I meet you next time, Ungal Naan." Is it a hint that he will return for Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8?

Talking about her win on the stage, Archana said, “I planned only for two weeks. I didn’t plan for these many days. I was enjoying one day at a time. Since school days and college days, I never had anyone around. But after this show, when I look back, I see so many people. I never dreamt of this. Thanks to my family and Kamal sir. You have a part in this victory, sir, because I took you as a mentor. And to my fellow contestants for pushing me at every instant. Thank you everybody. I am speechless.”

VJ Archana, the television actor known for Raja Rani Season 2, is the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7. She gets a cheque of Rs 50 lakh, a plot worth Rs 15 lakh, and a Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara.

Kamal Haasan holds the hands of Archana and Manichandra, and delays as much as he can to raise the hand of the winner.

And after a long delay... he lifts the hand of Archana.

Before announcing the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7, Kamal Haasan says, "In this time, we can separate the time as before and after Covid. While expected things to change, sadly it hasn't. Tamilan endru sollu da Thalai nimrundhu nillada. But we all are looking down always to the phone. Next great citizen would be the person who respects fellow humans and the nature. I wanted to say this at this place."

Archana's father says, "I actually didn't want her to go to the show. I thought she will ruin our name, but she made us all proud."

Maya says that Poornima was the reason for her to be happy inside the house. "I don't have to thank her. We are beyond that. I want to show the love for her here. She is something else. Vera level."

All the contestants are on the stage now, having their final say. Manichandra wants to spend time with his family and friends. Maya says she is here because of her friends, teachers, who nurtured good thoughts in her.

Archana: "Sir, this is a surreal moment. I have seen all this on TV. It is a very very big thing for me. I don't know. I think people accepted me. I am fulfilled and done. I want to first spend time with my family and want to talk to them... laugh with them. I want to thank my family they were really scared about the show. But because of their support I am here."

Kamal Haasan suggests the book Polity Simplified by his friend R Rangarajan. He says it will look like a dictionary, but it is not just for people preparing for competitive exams. "It is for people to know about what is happening around us in the world," he adds.

The three finialists exit the house and reach the stage in a bullet bike with a sidecar.

As the finalists bids their goodbye, Bigg Boss thanks the contestants for being in the house despite the unscrupulous criticism on social media. "Thank you for holding me in your hearts. Another special thing about this season is that it has two female contestants. It is rare. Remember the first time you all peaked into the house? It is now as lightened up as it was back then. Why don't you take a look at the house from the main door. Look at the house. The house is me and I am the house. Even though you were all wounded by all that happened here, I hope you get it healed outside. Like how I made the previous contestants my family, I am making you all my family. You are mine. I will wait for the Season 8 contestants alone with my solitude. Cut."

Bigg Boss signs off and asks Maya and Archana to sing a farewell song. And they go, "Unnodu vaazhndha kaalangal yaavum..." 

Contestants are asked to interact with the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 trophy one by one.

Manichandra says, "To talk about this trophy, whenever I felt low... dance has been my life and it has brought me here. When people tell me I was not good enough, I believed I can do it, and even small things mattered. I don't know if I will take this trophy home, but I am proud I have come till here. I have mixed feelings seeing this."

Maya says, "I don't know if I will get it. I know that I deserve you because I have put in so much effort. It is okay if I don't get it. But many participants who failed have also rooted for me to get this. I guess if I win you, I will share it with all those. I think I deserve you."

Archana says, "I never thought... I have only seen all these on TV. I have learned a lot of life lessons. I was just going with the flow. I didn't dream that I will get here. I am happy and fullfilled. If I get you, I will take you home. It's okay even if I don't. You look wonderful."

The top three finalists are Archana, Maya Krishnan, and Manichandra.

"I am proud that I am called a game changer. As a wild card contestant, I have made a lot things in the house," Dinesh says thanking the audience.

Dinesh is the next contestant to leave the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 house.

Kamal Haasan says it is Bhogi festival and asks contestants what they would get rid of in the moment. Manichandra says that he does not want to fear losing and delay his actions. Dinesh says that he wants to put himself in other's shoes rather than being sure of his resolve.

Archana: "From childhood, people keep telling me I am talkative. But here I am receiving compliments that I am talking wherever it is necessary. I want to continue it outside the house as well."

Maya: "I tend to destroy myself and the people I am angry with. I want to not use words anymore to hurt people. Instead, like you said, I want to use actions to convey my feelings."

Vishnu predicts that Archana or Maya will be eliminated next.

Vishnu is back on stage. He tells Kamal Haasan, "It is a gift to interact with you every week. The point of this attempt was to regain momentum in my career. I realised I was fading out. Hope this platform has given me that."

The contestants were asked to come to the garden area. They were sprayed with many paper bits and were told that one paper would have the name of the evicted contestant. After a lot of searching, Maya picked up the paper, which bore the name of Vishnu.

Talking about his collaboration with Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan says, "In Raaj Kamal International Films, content is the king. We don't bet on a winning horse because winning doesn't matter, the journey does. Mani Ratnam and I couldn't find a good script for the past 30 years. If I liked some, he wouldn't and vice versa. Finally, we have arrived at Thug Life."

"I wanted to make Vikram Dharma. But it didn't workout because of the stardom I got into. But now, I am catching up with all that with these two (Anbu-Arivu)," says Kamal Haasan.

Talking about their collaboration with Kamal Haasan, Anbu-Arivu say, "We don't think about anything else other than work. We didn't have time to realise what we wanted to do. But Kamal sir identified what we wanted and has made such a big announcement."

Kamal Haasan introduces action choreographer duo Anbu-Arivu on the stage. The host shares that he is acting in a film, tentatively-titled KH237, which will be released in 2025. 

It has to be noted Bava Chelladurai, Yugendran, Aishwarya, and Pradeep Antony, who were evicted earlier, didn't come for the finale.

Poornima asks about the term 'Thug Life'. Kamal Haasan says, "The name Thug Life came from Thugees. They were people who were ostracised by society, and to have their revenge, they became murderers and thieves, and that's how the name came into being. Now, the name has a lot of different meanings. People use it for anyone who is talented and all that."

When asked what makes him angry, Kamal Haasan says, "I came into cinema because I was angry with the kind of cinema that was made. Similarly, I was angry with the politics, and that's why I started getting into that service."

Raveena asks Kamal Haasan which book was first suggested to him and by whom. Kamal replies, "Vyaasar Virundhu by Rajaji was given to me by mom and dad."

Vichitra asks Kamal Haasan, 'What made you more emotional this season?' Kamal replies, 'Not just this season. Across all the seasons, I become happy when I see the same person I am angry at, impress me. It happens every season.'

Cool Suresh asks a question to Kamal Haasan. Suresh asks, "It is hard to be in a field for about 10 years, how are you doing all of it for 64 years?" Kamal Haasan replies, "Its all patience."

Ananya Rao hits the stage. Vijay Varma joins in.

Kamal Haasan presents a signed book to each contestant, which was especially made for them. He then took a tour of the house with the participants cracking jokes about the house owner taking a look at the house before sending out the tenants.

"I feel like I have earned a lot of hate here. When a past contestant came in, everyone inside was expecting someone, but I didn't have anyone to expect like that. That was my lowest," says Archana.

"Anger is taking over me," says Vishnu. Kamal Haasan then remarked, "Anger is like an addiction. The more you do it, the more you want to keep doing it."

Kamal Haasan asks contestants about their lowest points or moments and what they could have done differently. Dinesh says he could have handled a certain moment with more calm. On the other hand, Manichandra says, "I should have started doing things that were my strength--like opening up to people--more earlier."

Maya: "I earned a lot of trust inside the house and outside."

Archana: "I was just scared thinking about being here. But when I realised I can't be scared like this all my life, I held onto the spark. I am now a different person."

Vishnu: "I have been true and honest all through it. Whatever I was asked to do, I did with complete honesty."

Manichandra: "I was all about dance dance. but the house has taught me to be communicative of my feelings to people."

Dinesh: "Like you said, I realised it is a home, and i realised I could turn a place into a home."

"When I first came here, it was just a film set. You all turned it into a home. You have all built it brick by brick," says Kamal Haasan.

Kamal Haasan enters the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 house. He is welcomed with a folk song on him. All the contestants fall at the host's feet seeking his blessings.

"I wanted to be a jolly person who wanted to talk only when I want to talk or needed. I knew Raveena well before. So, I was told that I was controlling her a lot. I did not want her to earn a bad name. So, some moves became disturbing. I was told that those were strategy and content. It was not. I did what I thought was right. When I realised it was affecting the game, we sorted it out and played the game," Manichandra became emotional while talking about Raveena.

"I always wondered why people keep ask me to change my attitude. I thought why am I being asked to change. So, I first wanted to realise who I am. Because I am different from others. I have been bullied and criticised. When I entered Bigg Boss, some incidents happened which triggered a lot of past feelings. As usual, I wanted to run away from here. But for the first time, here, I wanted to stand up for myself. I resolved to stand up to people who bullied me. So, the same people who called me weak called me a tough contestant. The one who was weak is going out strong," says Archana.

"The strength I had to come to this place was my anger. The weakness I had was that I could be taken for granted. My anger helped me to shield myself from vulnerability. But beyond that, people also realised there was love in me. I haven't broken down much before, and I did a lot inside the house. I broke down during that Poornima incident because I realised I was wrong," says Vishnu.

"I want to entertain people, and I will be honest. These two are the only two mantras I had. I was called a bully. I couldn't take it at all. I was broken by the tag. I wanted to break all those socially incorrect things, and I was worried it would backfire. When I had to change the strategy, I could do that. I love you all so much," says Maya.

Dinesh says that he wanted to get into Bigg Boss to win the trophy. "I used all the experience I had in my life as my strength to play in this show. I got connected to the house. It became my friend. I could revisit a lot of memories which I couldn't do before,' he adds.

The finalists are asked to share their experience inside the house as a story for a podcast with a sand clock in front of them.

The music session ends with all the artistes and finalists singing "Ullalalaa" from Petta.

Sivaangi brings her cute charm to the jamming session, which has brought a great vibe to the Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 house that's more used to quarrels and noise.

Sivaangi asks Maya Krishnan to sing a song, and so she sings, 'Vaa Rayil Vida Polaama from Pariyerum Perumal.'

"It feels like having watched a good film or read a good book. About whether I would have played the game differently, I think I played it very well. I wouldn't have done it any differently," says Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 finalist Maya in an interaction with Kamal Haasan.

"I watched the show and came here so I was expecting to stay inside for just two weeks. That's what I aimed for. With the feedback I have received, I have become a different person. Thanks to you. I see you as my mentor and thank you," says Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 finalist Archana in a conversation with Kamal Haasan.

"I feel happy being the finalist. I realised I need not have fought for everything to be in the limelight. I didn't have to voice out my concerns about other people," says Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 Manichandra in his interaction with Kamal Haasan.

'For the first question, it feels like seeing the harvest of a farmer. I am seeing the result of the effort I had put. For the second, 'I didn't put a lot of feedback into my head. I played for the people. And I feel happy I have come here,' says Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7 finalist Dinesh in his interaction with Kamal Haasan.

"How do you feel about being the finalist beating others?"

"Have you ever felt I could have played it differently hearing the feedback?"

Vinusha: "I got so much love outside. I am so proud of myself. I learnt being good alone is not enough."

Vikram: "I got a lot of friendship. Usually, I walk past issues. Now, I have learnt to stand up for issues."

Raveena: "Sir, When I came out of the house, there were two kinds of narratives. I got a lot of negative comments on social media. But when I went to meet people in person, they are actually lovely. I realised social media is like people talking behind your back."

Ananya Rao: "I learnt not to judge people and give them a chance."

Jovika: "It is hard to stand for yourself and your friends. You will be given a lot of challenges, but what matters is that you have to fight."

Cool Suresh: "People thought I was an angry guy seeing me at theatres. But now they realise I have some heart inside the stone. For me, the house was a jail, but it will teach you a lot of lessons. It depends on what you seek. With this, I can run my livelihood for next ten years."

Kamal Haasan is back and the contestants are seated near the stage. Kamal asks everyone what they had learnt from the house.

Poornima: "I don't have to convince everyone about what I am. My actions should speak."

Vijay Varma: "I am so proud of myself. I learnt a lot of patience." 

Nixen: "Most people are scolding me. But I am happy people are talking about me. I have started work already. I have written six songs already."

Gana Bala and Rapper Nixen make an entry with Kalaai Song. 

Talking about the difference between the contestants of previous seasons and Season 7 contestant, Kamal Haasan said, "Previously, if contestants made a mistake, I would call them out and they will say 'Sorry'. But now, they are like, 'Yeah, I made a mistake. So?' What can I do now? Also, people are asking me why am I not unleashing dogs on them as punishment. I am wondering what will happen to the dogs. They ask me why don't I use whip to punish them. I have been telling them, "I am not here to punish. I just point out things. I am not even trying to accuse them. That's not my duty."
