Director Blessy’s Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is arguably one of the most highly anticipated Malayalam movies of the year. After six years since its official commencement, this survival drama is now set for release on March 28.
An adaptation of the bestselling Malayalam novel from 2008 by Benyamin, the production of Aadujeevitham faced numerous challenges, leading to several halts in filming.
Eventually, in May, the cast and crew were repatriated back to Kochi via Delhi from Amman on a special flight.
Meanwhile, actor Prithviraj recently emphasised that despite the challenges they faced, there was no compromise in the film’s quality. “Not a single moment in the film saw any crew member settling for less,” he remarked during a conversation with Film Companion South.
He also commended the dedication of the film’s crew, noting that during their time in Jordan, their primary concern was not about returning home but rather when they could resume shooting. “Their primary concern was when shooting could resume and how to proceed. I understood that eventually, the spotlight would fall on me and people would talk about Blessy and the chief technicians. Except for the scrolling titles at the end, you won’t know who these people were. Yet, this film meant so much to them.”
