Jeremy Renner met with a near-fatal accident earlier this year when he was run over by a snowcat while he was trying to save his nephew near his home in Lake Tahoe. In a new interview with Diane Sawyer, the Hawkeye actor opened up about the incident and the promo of the same was recently released.
The actor said that he felt the pain as his body was being crushed and “was awake through every moment”. A snippet of the 911 call is included in the promo where he can be heard moaning in pain. With the many injuries he sustained, Renner said that he wondered what his body was going to look like. “Am I just going to be a spine and a brain like a science experiment?” he said. Sawyer reads through the series of injuries he sustained and mentioned, “Eight ribs broken in 14 places. Right knee, right ankle broken. Left ankle broken. Right shoulder broken. Face, eye socket, jaw broken. Lung collapsed.”
Jeremy Renner’s nephew told Diane Sawyer, “I see him in a pool of blood coming from his head. I ran up to him. I didn’t think he was alive.”
Renner will soon be seen in Rennervations. And, the actor will also be attending the world premiere of the series in Los Angeles. This will be his first appearance since the accident. The four-part reality docu series will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar. The series features appearances from stars like Anil Kapoor, Vanessa Hudgens, Sebastian Yatra and Anthony Mackie. It starts streaming on April 12.
