Vicky Kaushal, who is currently enjoying the success of his film Bad Newz, doesn’t need to look far when it comes to seeking career advice. For the unversed, the 36-year-old, who is married to actor Katrina Kaif, is the son of renowned action director Sham Kaushal. Vicky’s younger brother Sunny Kaushal is also an actor. So naturally, films, scripts and box office numbers are a regular dinner table conversation in the Kaushal household. The actor in a recent interview revealed that for both script and box-office-related opinions, he can bank on his father Sham.

“If it is script-related, I will first go to my dad and then Katrina,” he told Bollywood Hungama. The Uri actor further revealed that the veteran action director has a deep interest in film trade and box-office numbers and likes to keep himself abreast with money the films are making, especially, Vicky’s.

“After the film’s release, I go to my dad because he understands trade and box office. He is updated about which film is earning how much money at the box office. Sometimes, he would tell me, ‘Dekho itna hua,’ and I would go like, ‘Accha itna karliya?” he shared. While Sham enjoys keeping a track of box office numbers of all films, he looks at the numbers Vicky’s films are making very minutely. “He would know when a single ticket also gets sold,” shared Vicky.
