Sitaare Zameen Par Movie Review Live Updates: Aamir Khan’s sequel to Taare Zameen Par wins over audience, earns Rs 3.89 crore on day 1

Aamir Khan productions shared a clip where the who's who of the industry, who got to see the film last night at a special screening, is sharing their responses. Sharing the clip, the makers wrote, "Zameen par utare kai SITAARE! ♥?#SitaareZameenPar premiere left no eye dry and no heart untouched. "

Trade site Sacnilk shared that by 3pm, Sitaare Zameen Par made a box office income of around Rs 3.19 crore India net on its first day for all languages.

One video from the Sitaare Zameen Par premiere shows an unknown man tried to get too close to Salman Khan. While Salman arrived at the venue with heavy security, he was seen posing on the red carpet with Aamir Khan and engaging in playful banter with photographers. But while Salman was making an exit, a man attempts to approach him and get close to the actor, sparking a security response.

Trade site Sacnilk shared that by 11am today, Sitaare Zameen Par earned around Rs 0.65 crore India net.

Mumbai-based exhibitor and distributor Rajesh Thadani told PTI that word-of-mouth will determine good box office results for Sitaare Zameen Par over the weekend. "Since it’s Aamir Khan and the subject is different, there are hopes that it will do well. I’ve great hope for the film, it should do anywhere between Rs. 10 to 15 crore. If the word-of-mouth is good, then box office collection should improve, and it should touch Rs. 50 crores in three days. The film is emotional and it will cater to family audiences, children and specially-abled children," Thadani told PTI.

Indian Express' Film critic Shubhra Gupta gave Sitaare Zameen Par, 3.5 stars and wrote in her review, "Aamir Khan delivers fully committed performance in heart-winning comedy.  This film wouldn’t have worked as well as it does if Aamir hadn’t been fully committed to putting himself out there as a hero-who-is-a-jerk."
