The newlyweds walked out hand in hand as the media men waited for a glimpse of Shahid and Mira.
While Shahid was wearing a sherwani designed by Kunal Rawal, Mira looked elegant and resplendent in a light pink and silver embroidered lehenga with a veil over her head. She sported an elaborate Navratna neckpiece and earrings set, and teamed her look with a ‘maang-tika’ and a ‘jhoomar’ on the side of her head.
“Thank you,” the 34-year-old actor said to the media after the shutterbugs went clickety-click to capture the couple’s beaming smiles.
The couple posed together outside the reception venue – The Oberoi, Gurgaon. A reception party for the family members and close friends will be held here in a while.
Masaba posted a picture with the Ladkewala’s at the wedding on Instagram:
Shahid’s good friend and producer Mubina Rattonsey took to Twitter to share a picture from the ceremony. Mubina tweeted, “Welcome Mira Rajput Kapoor.”
Shahid and Mira got married in a low-key ceremony at a Chattarpur farm house in New Delhi. It was a simple gurudwara wedding and was attended by only 30-40 people.
