XAT 2026: Exam pattern

XAT 2026 will follow the same structure as previous years and will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT). The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes. The test will include four main sections:

–Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI)

–Decision Making (DM)

–Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA & LR)

–General Knowledge (GK)

All questions will be objective-type (MCQs), and each section is designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude in analytical, logical, and managerial decision-making areas.

While the first three sections contribute to the percentile score used for admissions, the General Knowledge section is evaluated separately and is often used in the final selection rounds by institutes like XLRI.
