Step 2: After entering their user ID and password, the merit list will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Students are advised to download and save a copy for future reference.

Those who have been allotted a seat must proceed to pay the seat acceptance fee using any of the available payment methods — debit or credit card, net banking, UPI, or QR code. Once the payment is completed, they should download the admission slip and report to the allotted college with the required documents for verification.

This postponement aligns with the deferment of the WBJEE 2025 results, which were originally scheduled for release on the same day. The delay follows a court intervention prompted by complaints from merit-listed candidates of both WBJEE and JEMAS-PG 2024, who voiced concerns over potential breaches of a prior High Court directive regarding OBC reservation policies.

Calcutta High Court orders WBJEE Board to publish new merit list

Justice Kausik Chanda had ordered a halt to all further actions in the admission process until a Division Bench reviews the stay application challenging the May 21, 2025, ruling. In response to the ongoing uncertainty, the state government extended the deadline for undergraduate admissions through the centralised portal to midnight on August 5. Although students were permitted to update their category information on the portal starting July 29, unresolved legal matters have brought the entire admission timeline to a standstill.
