UP Board Results 2023: Shubh Chapra tops Class 12, Priyanshi Soni declared Class 10 topper

UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2023: Students can check their results at upmsp.edu.in or at upresults.nic.in. Candidates would need to key in their details like name and roll number to check their score.

UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on April 25 declared the results of Class 10 and 12 board exams 2023, with 89.78 per cent students clearing the examinations for class 10, while 75.52 per cent students passed the class 12 examinations.

While the passing percentage for boys of class 10 was 86.64 per cent, it was 93.34 per cent for girls. For the class 12 examinations, the passing percentage for boys was 69.34 per cent, it was 83 per cent for girls.

A total of 28.63 lakh students appeared for the class 10 examination, while 25.71 lakh students appeared for the class 12 examination. In class 10, the number of registered students was 31.16 lakh, while 27.68 lakh students were registered for class 12 examinations.

The highest scoring student for the high school examination was Priyanshi Soni of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College in Sitapur with a score of 590/600. In joint second place was Kushagra Pandey of Arya Bhat VM HS Mnngalpur, Kanpur Dehat with a score 587/600 along with Mishkat Noor of Canossa Convent Girls Inter College in Ayodhya with a score of 587/600.

The highest scoring student for intermediate was Shubh Chapra of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Charkhari, Mahoba district with a score of 489/500. In joint second place was Saurabh Gangwar of SVM IC Bisalpur, Pilibhit with a score of 486/500 along with Anamika of CH S Singh IC, Jaswant Nagar, Etawah with a score of 486/500.

The examinations for class 10 and 12 were held between February 16 and March 4 this year.

The UP Board examinations were conducted at 8,753 examination centres across UP.  The state government had made arrangements to ensure that unfair means are not used in the examinations.   Two CCTV cameras, voice recorders and routers were installed in each room of each examination center, through which live monitoring of the entire examination period will be done through webcasting.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated students who passed the exams, their parents and teachers and said the top 10 rank holders of both exams will be felicitated.
“All of you are the pillars of the golden future of ‘new Uttar Pradesh. May the future of all of you be bright with the grace of Maa Saraswati (the goddess of learning). Students who got top 10 positions at the state level in the 10th and 12th board exams, will be honoured at the state level and those who get top 10 positions at the district level will be honoured at the district level,” he tweeted in Hindi.

As compared to last year’s results, the passing percentage for class 10 has gone up from 88.18 per cent to 89.78 per cent, while the passing percentage for class 12 has seen a considerable dip from 85.33 per cent to 75.52 per cent this year.
