Dibyakant Shukla, Secretary, Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) posted the notice on Twitter. The parents and students might receive calls from fraudsters demanding money in the name of increasing marks in board exams. He asserted that these calls are “hoaxes” and the board never makes any such demands.

The secretary said that these calls are made by cyber fraudsters and asked students to report such calls if they receive them.

Earlier this week, the board flagged a notification stating that the news doing rounds regarding the declaration of the exam on April 5 are fake.

A total of 58,85,745 students registered for UP Board high school and intermediate exams this year. Out of these, 31,16,487 students registered for high school exams and 27,69,258 students registered for intermediate exams.
