This year, the June session of UGC NET was rescheduled and conducted on August 21 to September 4, after the June 18 exam was declared cancelled. This was a result of the investigation which had earlier claimed that the paper was distributed on the darknet on June 16 two days prior to the test. However, it was later revealed that the exam may not have been leaked.
